8 Reasons Entrepreneurs Watch Engaging Streenagers Behaviors

Entrepreneurs, if you are not watching every behavior of Engaging Screenagers (whether they are your market or not) you will be explaining why in bankruptcy court. (junk engagement)
What am I talking about?
The one of the foundation priorities of my life-long engagement focus is Engaging Screenagers, as in this screenage most everyone is showing Engaging Screenagers behavior tendencies.
Having said that, I’ve found that the group that earned the “Screenagers” name, will change (or shape if you like) the world of engagement, and sharing more than any other group that we have seen so far.

While I was a University instructor during the time smartphones were coming into mass use, I was spending 40-60 hours a week with almost 3000 students and watching how their behavior was changing day to day.

The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference
Based on my passion (research, practice, training, coaching, etc.) for engagement and innovating for engagement, I could see (back then) how much of an influence/game changer these smartphones were going to be in our world. (optimal engagement)

This group of Engaging Screenagers has been (and will continue) leading the behavior change tsunami and these are 8 reasons why. (optimal engagement)
Engaging Screenagers:
  1. Have little investment in tradition
  2. Rebel against some traditions
  3. Compete continually for the next “cool” thing
  4. Look continually for an easier way to do things
  5. Love curating: searching, finding, commenting, sharing
  6. Are digital natives and feel comfortable using technology
  7. Aren’t as afraid to express themselves online
  8. Are in school/university where they are in a highly social, sharing environment every day

Think about it, younger Engaging Screenagers (up to ending high school/secondary school) as a group have the least investment in tradition, but they still have varying levels of control of their parents.
Engaging Screenagers in university have the most social, and least social “sharing controlled” environments.
Remember, university students are focus group/test audiences for several marketing genres like, new TV shows, etc.
I am not talking about a generation x or y, millennials, or others.
I am talking about the new technology and how those who are younger, due to their lack of attachment to tradition, are leading (shaping) change in how we live (sharecommunicatelearn, buy, etc.) with mobile devices.
Although Engaging Screenagers may not be your target audience, it may just save your business to watch their mobile device behavior as often as you can spare the time. (optimal engagement)
For those who are old enough, do you remember when TV took over in the 60’s and 70’s, and how societal habits and values, as well as our collective self disciplines were challenged and changed?

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change
Wouldn’t it be great if the same factors (technology tools like mobile devices) that make things difficult—could make things easier (eWorkbookseSalesbookseSaleslogseBrochureseJournalseLogs)?

Will these technology tools like mobile devices (that are making things so difficult) become less difficult in the future, and if we learn to work with them won't our lives become better?
Entrepreneurs, aren’t you continually looking for new ways to connect with customers and aren’t Engaging Screenagers continually and boldly testing new ways to connect all the time?
Aren’t things changing faster than ever before and can’t we learn the most from behaviors of the change leaders?
Isn’t the entrepreneur who says, “I know how to sell to my customers,” going to be left behind (out of business) because the world is changing so fast?

Watch Engaging Screenagers behaviors see how things change.

Remember to engage tomorrow.
Following with you.
Keep it simple.
All the Best, Warren
