12 Ways Good Teachers Mirror Entrepreneurs Engaging Screenagers

As I’ve been reading about good teachers and entrepreneurs I find there are several qualities that they have in common or mirror the 2 groups.

Over the past 3 years I’ve been teaching and training (both teachers and entrepreneurs) with eWorkbooks, and because eWorkbooks amass vast quantities of data, we’ve looked back at what qualities were prominent.
Let’s look at this idea by combining students with customers and call both groups “Engaging Screenagers” (because most everyone is showing Screenage tendencies nowadays) for this blog, is that okay?
Here are the most prominent qualities we’ve observed:

1. Attract excite inspire

Both good teachers and entrepreneurs attract and exciting their Engaging Screenagers and inspiring those Engaging Screenagers to learn and want more of the content. (optimal engagement)

2. Enroll participation

Both good teachers and entrepreneurs have the power to enroll Engaging Screenagers to actively participate in the learning content or buying products or services. (optimal engagement)
Also, both are good at getting their Engaging Screenagers to enroll other Engaging Screenagers to participate in learning or buying.

3. Persuade or sell ideas

Both good teachers and entrepreneurs continually search for and practice persuasion for the benefit of their Engaging Screenagers. (optimal engagement)
They do not force unwilling acceptance of ideas on their Engaging Screenagers as that would not be good teaching or it would mean bankruptcy.

4. Observe and fill wants

Both good teachers and entrepreneurs watch their Engaging Screenagers’ behaviors and wants so when the time comes both groups fill those wants to help their Engaging Screenagers. (optimal engagement)

5. Build new relationships continually

Both good teachers and entrepreneurs and continually building new relationships. Although, good teachers do this mostly at the beginning of school term, both meeting new faces and then getting to know the personalities of these new people. (optimal engagement)

6. Build trust with their Engaging Screenagers

Both good teachers and entrepreneurs quickly move beyond just getting to know new people, and move into building a trusting bond that continues to grow and develop. (optimal engagement)
By the way isn’t trust lacking in a lot of our world (especially mainstream marketing) now days? (junk engagement)
7. Celebrate with Engaging Screenagers
Both good teachers and entrepreneurs love to celebrate Moments of Growth successes with their Engaging Screenagers, as both know it is all about collaborating for success. (optimal engagement)

8. Focus on their passion topic

Both good teachers and entrepreneurs are generally not that great at doing everything. (junk engagement)
Also, both groups tend to focus on one topic and dive deeply into that topic so they become subject matter experts who earn the respect of their Engaging Screenagers. (optimal engagement)

9. Search continually to find better ways to engage

Both good teachers and entrepreneurs live a never ending life of curating new and improved ways (like adopting eWorkbooks or eBrochures) to engage their Engaging Screenagers. (optimal engagement)
Seriously, isn’t most all promotion the act of teaching customers in an attracting and engaging way?

10. Learn continually to improve themselves

Both good teachers and entrepreneurs are lifelong learners, and as they are continually curating ideas and modeling for others this lifestyle—they play their lifelong learning role with passion. (optimal engagement)

11. Use technology to share ideas

Both good teachers and entrepreneurs love to adopt technology to share their ideas with Engaging Screenagers, and they both know our world is digital and we use technology to thrive. (optimal engagement)

12. Feel comfortable interacting online

Both good teachers and entrepreneurs are comfortable interacting with Engaging Screenagers online as usingtechnology has become second nature to them(optimal engagement)
Now, you are thinking there are some teachers who are considered good that don’t show some of these qualities and you may be right, but good teachers will show most of these qualities won’t they?
The same goes for entrepreneurs, but if entrepreneurs don’t show most all of these qualities they’re often looking for new entrepreneurial opportunities.
The difference though, is both good and poor teachers can continue to teach and the rewards are not much higher for good teachers, but entrepreneurs can experience fantastic rewards if they do well and bankruptcy if they don’t do well.

Aren’t good teachers' and entrepreneurs' jobs to build trust, inspire, excite, and persuade Engaging Screenagers?
Don’t both good teachers and entrepreneurs succeed or even thrive with the same skill sets?
Won’t individuals in either of these groups become idle if they don’t continue building and developing these qualities, and in the end who else will suffer if they don’t?

Learn from good teachers and entrepreneurs to succeed.
