As an entrepreneur I’m often asked what my own 5-step process means. They are referring to outlining your process when you build your influence. To engage your audience it is important to have a clear outline of how you provide valuable outcome  for others. So, you’ll want to create a simple outline of steps you will lead your clients or customers to build value. This is an important process as you build your influence for others. Can you build your influence like this to make people interested? My client Kenny asked me what do I mean when I wrote “design your character.” That’s a good question and it relates to personal brand building. When you become an influencer, you show your character to your followers. The question is what character do they see? Are you personal brand building like this to make people interested? The important idea is you want to your character to your organizational brand values. You want to develop your character with human traits like loving, trusting, succeeding, caring, creating, etc. Ultimately these human traits are your brand values. He was a top CEO lives in public housing? Influencer Marketing

Last week I was hiking and started chatting with another hiker like I normally do. It turns out the hiker I met had been the CEO in one of the top conglomerates in Hong Kong. This man had become an influencer, but what happened.  What happened to this man who had become an influencer? He had been well connected and invested all his retirement in stocks. After he retired all his connections faded away, and all his stocks list value in the last crash. Now he lives in public housing – terrifying. That is a terrifying prospect, isn’t it? In the Gig economy most folks who start a Gig for side cash want to prevent that kind of terror. I know I’ve been up and I’ve been down, and it feels a lot better to be up.
