Accept and share good things said about you

Ever feel you could do more or be more in life? By not doing our best we’re suffering because we know we can do more. Also, when we don't share good things said about us we keep the suffering inside.

So, don’t you owe it to yourself and to the world? Be your best and share good things others like about you.

BTW, we’ve a builder (expert system of sorts) to help you build your own influential personal brand. You just answer questions, and you get an email with your personal brand content first draft.

When will you start building your personal brand? So, this is the third question in the builder.

3) When others talk about you what good things do they say about you?

Focus on and share good things said

Whether we like it or not others talk about us all the time. So, the key is to focus on the good things people say to and about you.

*This doesn’t mean you want to blindly ignore others negative feedback. In fact, we learn more from negative feedback than from positive. So an important skill to build is to learn from negative feedback and then let it go.

THE BEST BUSINESS STRATEGY NO ONE TALKS ABOUT"
-The reality is, the amount of opportunity gained by good people because of their kindness is enormous. Think about it.
-How many times have you done something that’s affected a person’s life entirely based on how you felt about them?

Back to positive. Imagine you are looking in the mirror and remember positive feedback someone gave you. Also, because you trust and respect that person, you know it is true.

Often I am told, “Warren, I don’t want to share the good things others say about me. I don’t want to seem like I’m bragging.” As always, be empathetic to your audience and their cultures.

Steps to share good things said

Step 1. First, look at yourself in the mirror, tell yourself how you feel about the comment? Now, build on what you saw, heard, or felt and remember more comments like this.

Step 2. Next, write at least 3 positive comments down on paper or on your phone. Be sure to write them so you can see all three.

Step 3. Then, look at all three and combine them into one statement. Also, make sure your statement includes all three ideas that feel good.

Step 4. Finally, share this statement with others. Maybe, you’ll want to share it modestly, but keep sharing.

Even more, some of my clients have told me they’ve included this in their elevator pitch.

Core values examples to get you started

Also, below are some highlight ideas, trigger questions, and sample responses to open your mind. So, as you look at these ask yourself, how you feel they relate to your passion.

Highlight ideas

First, here are some highlight ideas.  So, spark the authentic part of you that has positive intent and gives you energy.

1. You will want to build up some momentum for yourself.
2. If you need, email some close friends and ask them to share ideas.
3. If you are really bold, email some not close friends and ask them what they think about you.

Sample responses

Next, here are sample responses from my clients and students.

So, finish this statement: Good things said about me include:
1. A strong trust in the integrity of my involvement, and esp. [sic.] so if the intended result is achieved; openness in dialog on sensitive issues, including senior level sensitive issues, such as longer term strategy, change in direction and restructuring of senior management.
2. Being inspired and motivated, having more energy and resources to reach the goal.
3. Trusted and connected.
3. I try to be the most present for my clients.

Trigger questions

Furthermore, here are some more trigger questions to help you stimulate ideas.

1. What is the process you have used your clients tell you helped them succeed?
2. How have your clients told you your passion has inspired them?
3. How have your friends told you they benefited from being with you?
4. What do you do that others have told you attracts them to you?
