Have you have ever listened to famous speakers like Zig Ziglar, Tony Robbins, or Gary Vaynerchuk? One thing they all talk about is their challenges and struggles that helped build character.

3 WAYS TO OVERCOME FEAR OF FAILURE
You might not want to hear it, but I genuinely believe that your adversity and your “losses” are your biggest strengths in today’s environment. Gary Vaynerchuk

Often we fear talking about challenges and struggles. But when you talk about struggles, you become more authentic.

Tip 1) Challenges build authenticity

Founder of Alibaba, Jack Ma, is famous for his talks sharing how many times he failed.

When you hear about someone who is perfect, does your trust wonder if that’s true? Well, as human beings we generally wonder or mistrust lack of struggle.

Just as in the last post, your answer will be part of your origin story.

Tip 2) Fear of missing out (FOMO) challenges authenticity

One of the most difficult challenges if FOMO (fear of missing out.)

When you see or hear stories from great influencers, you’ll find they faced physical or mental struggles. This is because sharing struggles helps build authenticity.

These struggles show the human side and like movies in the cinema, we feel connected to their human conditions.

Tip 3) They will know sooner or later

Also, when we have the internet, everything will eventually become public. So, if you share your struggles with the world, you can tell the story from your point of view.

Also, below are some highlight ideas, trigger questions, and sample responses to open your mind. So, as you look at these ask yourself, how you feel they relate to your passion.

Highlight ideas

First, here are some highlight ideas.  So, spark the authentic part of you that has positive intent and gives you energy.

1. It’s important to not manipulate your image to overcome or hide faults and avoid criticism.
2. You will want to show both your struggles and successes to help create an authenticity that is attractive and is easy for your audience to follow and to connect.

Sample responses

Next, here are sample responses from my clients and students.

So, finish this statement: Some of my expert experiences include:
1. Pursued and done what I was capable of doing, and now on path to do what my heart desires. The former and latter are not mutually exclusive.
2. I have put in 23 years of Training and People Development experience in retail sectors of different industries.
3. Daily practices on on-the-job coaching.
4. Daily Self-Training: I learnt from every single coaching conversation that I have with others, there was a self-reflective session on what I like and how I can become a better trainer.
5. I was able to get out of my comfort zone and social rules.

Trigger questions

Also, here are some more trigger questions to help you stimulate ideas.
